Graduate Art Therapy & Counseling Program
Mary Roberts, EdS, LPC-ACS, ATR-BC, ATCS is the Program Director and Assistant Professor of the Graduate Art Therapy and Counseling Program at EVMS since 2013. She has over 17 years of experience as an art therapist and art therapy educator EMDR Level II certified (Fully-trained). She is a practicing artist in mixed media painting. She teaches Adolescent Psychotherapy Skills, Individual Supervision, Internship, Trauma Informed Art Therapy, and Capstone. Mary has propelled the field of art therapy by encouraging the hiring of expressive therapists, pioneering and founding seven sustaining art therapist positions in her career, documenting standards of practice in writing, contributing articles to newsletters, and developing curriculum for art and music therapists in education programs.
