Abinadi Meza

Associate Professor, School of Art, University of Houston

Abinadi Meza is a Houston-based visual artist, filmmaker and sound artist. He is a graduate of SCI-Arc (Southern California Institute of Architecture) and the University of Minnesota. Meza is currently an Associate Professor in the School of Art at the University of Houston, where he was the founding faculty of the Interdisciplinary Practices and Emerging Forms (IPEF) MFA Program. Meza's work engages writing, images and sound as the “dream surpluses” or residues of anthropogenesis. He has exhibited and performed across North America and Europe at venues including the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis; Museum of Contemporary Art, Santa Barbara; Anthology Film Archives, New York; Blaffer Art Museum, Houston; Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin; Sonorities Festival, Belfast; MAXXI, Rome; and the Lisbon Architecture Triennale.
