Amy Belfi is a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Psychology at New York University. She received her B.A. in Psychology from St. Olaf College in 2010 and her Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Iowa in 2015. Her research is broadly situated in the field of cognitive neuroscience and specifically focuses on the neural systems underlying aesthetic experience. She uses a variety of techniques to explore how we experience music, poetry, and visual arts, including functional neuroimaging, psychophysiology, and neuropsychological studies of patient populations.
